Evaluation of various natural diets for mass rearing Spodoptera frugiperda J.E Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae).Spodoptera is one the pests that attack corn in Indonesia. This study aimed to evaluate most suitable dietfor S. from diets. The was conducted vitro. treatments were consisted ofvariation on diets, such as maize leaf, green mustard water spinach, sweet potato sugar caneleaf, and soybeans leaf. observed variables life cycle period, pupa size, weight. results showed thatthe shortest period leaves diet (40.92 days), longest sugarcane (45.01 days). Thelongest size (12.86 mm) (12.56 mm), heaviest pupaweights (0.18 mg), (0.16 mg). Based data, it couldbe concluded type growth development frugiperda.
